About Lucy

Lucia “Lucy” McBath is a mother, wife, businesswoman and activist for social justice. As a State Representative, Lucy will work to ensure that Georgia’s State House works for Georgia families.

Gun Violence Prevention

As a Member of Congress, she will advocate for background checks for all firearm purchases, raising the minimum age to purchase a gun to 21 years of age, work to defeat conceal carry reciprocity measures and work to keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers and other criminals.

Lucy will oppose Religious Freedom and Restoration Act (RFRA) and similar discriminatory legislation, because these laws disparage our friends and allies in the LGBT community and hurt our economic viability.

Lucy created the “Champion in The Making Legacy Foundation” for graduating high school students attending traditional as well as technical and training colleges and universities – with recipients currently attending Kennesaw State University.
